Zanbar was once the seat of power for an evil demonic empire. Prior to that, it was one of the great cities built by Wizards in ancient times. It was the first city to fall when the Source of All Evil declared war on the Wizards. Zanbar eventually fell and was swallowed by the desert. While ruled by demons, it was guarded by hellhounds.
History[]
A demon named Bosk once sought to use a Genie named Jinny to rise Zanbar from the sand. Jinny enlisted the Charmed Ones to help, but was later revealed to be a demon as well. She wished Zanbar to rise, though she was defeated before she could claim her seat, causing Zanbar to sink into the desert once more.

- Zanbar is the only city of wizards of which there are no known survivors.
- Zanbar and Avalon might be recovered and re-colonized when the wizards become too numerous to all stay in Atlantis.
