Levitation is the ability to defy gravity and rise up into the air. It is primarily a defensive power used to avoid attacks. It may initially be hard to control, though more experienced users may learn to use it as desired and even propel themselves in another direction.

This power is initially triggered as a defensive mechanism. Users of this power will often use it to avoid magical attacks by rising in the air. Initial users may only be able to rise in the air without being able to move in another direction, but they can learn to control their movement.
Levitation can be used to enhance one's physical strength and agility. After Phoebe Halliwell gained this power, she often used it in combination with her martial arts training to enhance the strength of her kicks. It can also be used to quickly rise from the ground. Users can extend their power to objects and beings they are in physical contact with. As long as there is contact, users can levitate others without additional strain.

Flight is the ability to defy gravity and propel oneself through the air. Levitation can advance in self-propelled fight.

Projective Levitation[]
Projective Levitation is the ability to levitate objects and beings without being in physical contact with them. This power shares some similarities to Telekinesis as it involves moving other objects and beings.
Telekinesis[]
Telekinesis is the ability to move objects and beings with the mind. When users of Telekinesis use their power on themselves, they can simulate levitation and rise in the air. Prue Halliwell and Billie Jenkins have both been able to use Telekinesis to defy gravity to some extent and enhance their physical abilities.
Hovering[]
Hovering is the ability to rise off the ground and hover with or without the use of orbs. It is similar to Levitation, but is passive in nature and cannot be used to propel oneself in another direction.
Floating[]
Floating is the ability to rise a few inches into the air and float. Users can rise a few inches above the ground and move in all directions. When Phoebe was having trouble levitating, she could only float. This power is also possessed by spirits.
