King of Albion
Engaged to Guinevere
Arthur was destined to wield Excalibur and become King at a young age and was prepared for this role by his mentor Merlin. After becoming King and claiming Camelot, Arthur appointed the knights of the round table, including his childhood friend Lancelot. At some point in time, Merlin was killed by Morrigan, a demonic sorceress who would become his greatest nemesis. He also met his longlost half-sister Morgana and became engaged to lady Guinevere.
Morrigan began terrorizing the kingdom and Arthur decided to slay her in battle. During this time, he became aware of an affair going on between Lancelot and Guinevere and put a stop to it by throwing his friend in the dungeon. Meanwhile, Morrigan tried to use Morgana to trick Arthur into drinking a potion. When Morgana could not betray her brother, Guinevere took the potion out of spite and put it in his wine instead. Arthur then banished both Guinevere and Lancelot.
Arthur went to war against Morrigan and faced her battle. The sorceress then revealed their lives were now tied together, due to her essence being tied to his soul. Determined to protect his kingdom, Arthur tried to sacrifice himself, but was stopped by Morrigan, who sought to enslave him instead. However, she was then fatally stabbed by Lancelot with Excalibur, resulting in her death. Arthur forgave his friend and told him to bring Excalibur to safety. He left his sister to rule the kingdom instead and then passed away.
