Sir Gareth was mortal resident of Camelot. He was knight of the Round Table loyal to King Arthur.
History[]
Gareth was present at a meeting of the Round Table to discuss the Morrigan's attack on the kingdom. He questioned how they could defeat her dark magic, though King Arthur replied that she was not the only one to wield magic. Arthur then decided to ride out with his army and face the sorceress.
During the battle against the Morrigan, the sorceress pointed to Gareth and snapped his neck with her magic to prove to Arthur that his knights could not stop her.
Notes and Trivia[]
- In Arthurian legends, Gareth was the nephew of King Arthur by his half-sister Morgause and brother of Gawain.
- It is unknown if Gareth was reincarnated and if he has a modern day counterpart.
- Gareth was the knight most fearful of the Morrigan's magic and was ironically killed by her to prove how powerless the knights were against her.
- His character was partly based on Rupert Young's character Sir Leon on Merlin.
