Cupids are a race of angelic beings that represent love. Much like Whitelighters are assigned charges for guidance and protection, Cupids are assigned to charges to help them find love in their lives and bring destined lovers together. They also act as counselors in relationships. They reside in the Temple of Love.
Cupids were created by the goddess Aphrodite when she saw humanity suffering under the rule of the gods and decreed that all deserved to feel loved. She created nine magical rings that grant Cupids various powers in order to fulfill their assignments. Once a Cupid passes on or gives up their destiny, the ring will find a new destined wielder.

Active Powers
- Beaming: The ability to teleport through a pink light originating from the heart.
- Empathy: The ability to sense the emotions of other beings.
- Sensing: The ability to determine the location and status of other beings by concentrating on them.
Passive Powers
- Immortality: The ability to possess a possibly infinite lifespan and an arrested aging process.
Cupid Ring
- Temporal Stasis: The ability to stop or slow the flow of time. Cupids can slow down time in a limited area.
- Suggestion: The ability to plant feelings, thoughts and ideas into the mind of another.
- Time Travel: The ability to travel through time. Cupids can visit the past loves of their charges.
- Hologram Projection: The ability to project light-based images in various shapes and sizes based on imagination or memories.
- Body Insertion: The ability to physically transfer a person into another body.
- Emotion Stripping: The ability to strip other beings of their emotions. Only Chandra is known to possess this ability.

Cupid-Witches[]
Prue, the first Cupid-Witch
Cupid-Witches are the offspring of a Witch and a Cupid. Currently, there are only three known Cupid-witches in existence, the daughters of Phoebe Halliwell and Coop. Cupid-witches possess the basic Wiccan powers of a witch and can develop powers from both sides, as well as unique hybrid powers. Due to most Cupid powers coming from their Rings, Cupid-witches do not automatically receive Cupid powers.

Hybrid Powers[]
As the result of two separate species, hybrids sometimes develop unique hybrid versions of magical powers. Prue was the only Cupid-Witch to have developed a hybrid power. Her wiccan power of Empathy enhanced by her Cupid side allows her to fire blasts of psychic energy.
Notes and Trivia[]
- All Cupids have names that start with the letter "C". This is a reference to the fact that an astrologer once told Phoebe that her true love started with a C.
- In Legacy, it is revealed that all Cupids are given new names upon accepting their destiny.
- Cupids aren't governed by the Elders though they work closely with them.
- Relationships between cupids and witches are forbidden, but an exception was made for Phoebe Halliwelle and Coop. It is not known who instituted this rule and why.
