Chosen Chapter 16: A Family that Wizards Together

"Teaching basic spell casting is quite exhausting. I had to reverse two transformations and put out five fires."
—Ben to Arthur.

Ben McDowell is a former student and current professor at Magic School.

During her time as headmistress, Paige Matthews asked Ben to help her identify a mysterious masked demon that was targeting Wyatt. He had a slight crush on Paige, and when she mentally became a teenager again due a spell backfiring, she kissed him in the hall of Magic School. However, she quickly realized it was wrong to kiss a student and was taken home by Grams to reverse the spell.

Chosen Edit

Some time later, Ben graduated and was hired as a professor to teach basic spell casting. Tired of the paperwork that came with the job, Ben asked Arthur to go to a bar with him, though Arthur was not in the mood because of everything going on. Ben later assisted Arthur exploring Atlantis and trying to free the statues there.

After learning how to free the wizards after a visit to the past, Arthur called Ben to make sure Neptune's Trident was secure in Magic School. The conversation was overheard by Ambrose, who confronted Ben and read his mind. Ben asked if Ambrose was going to kill him, but Ambrose instead manipulated his mind so he would steal the trident when given the chance. Ambrose then wiped his memory, so he would be unaware of what happened.
